The tourist flow to Kuban has increased by 10% since the beginning of 2024

The number of tourists visiting the Krasnodar Territory has reached approximately three million since the start of 2024, showing a 10% increase compared to 2023. The Krasnodarskiye Izvestia newspaper reported that Mikhail Zaritsky, the acting Minister of Resorts, Tourism, and Olympic Heritage of the Krasnodar Territory, provided this information.

«Our region has seen a 10 percent increase in the number of tourists this year compared to last year, with approximately 3 million visitors so far. Anapa had 149,102 tourists, Sochi had 1,255,932, Gelendzhik had 203,022, and Novorossiysk had 42,666 visitors,» the newspaper quotes Zaritsky as saying.

Between May and August 2024, Zaritsky expects 11.5 million tourists to visit Kuban, with 10 million expected during the summer months. Over 55% of hotels the Black Sea coast has already been booked for the summer, with Sochi being the choice of around 70% of visitors. Bookings for the Azov coast stand at 25%, with reservations made up to four months in advance.

RBC Krasnodar previously stated that the Krasnodar Territory is expected to welcome 11 million tourists in the summer of 2024, which is 13.4% more than in 2023.
