The Governor of Krasnodar Territory met with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan in Tashkent

Veniamin Kondratyev and Abdulla Aripov discussed the development of cooperation and strengthening of trade, economic and cultural ties. The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory arrived in Tashkent to participate in the work of the Council of Regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

«Today, a large delegation fr om Russia is visiting us. The strong partnership and friendly people-to-people relations between Uzbekistan and Russia have reached a new high. Thanks to the political will and kind and friendly relations between our Presidents, trade and economic ties are being diversified and have a good outlook for the future. I know that you, dear Veniamin Ivanovich, have already had a number of productive meetings with colleagues from Uzbekistan. I believe that this visit will lead to the discovery of new areas of cooperation between the Krasnodar Territory and the regions of Uzbekistan,» Abdulla Aripov said.

According to Veniamin Kondratyev, the Krasnodar Territory has been taking part in the Innoprom exhibition in Uzbekistan every year since it was launched in 2021. 48 industrial enterprises of the region were presented at the exhibition and 38 contracts worth 1.5 billion rubles were signed during these years. As the governor pointed out, thanks to the exhibition mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions has started.

«Our trade and economic relations are getting stronger every year. Over the past three years the trade turnover between Krasnodar Territory and Uzbekistan has more than tripled. I believe we should create road maps that outline the essential steps for engaging with the different regions of Uzbekistan. Last year, we signed such an agreement with the Andijan region, identified key areas of cooperation, and plan to exchange business missions. We also see prospects for establishing relations with the Syrdarya region,» added Veniamin Kondratyev.

The Governor emphasized that along with trade and economic relations it is important to expand cooperation in the cultural sphere, develop tourism, and organize student exchanges.

Veniamin Kondratyev visited the Congress Center, wh ere the main events of the business program will take place. He saw booths presenting investment opportunities for the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


The first meeting of the Council of Regions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held by the leaders of the two countries  Presidents Vladimir Putin and Shavkat Mirziyoyev. They discussed issues of strengthening cooperation, prospects for further development of Russian-Uzbek relations, and strategic partnership and alliance. The official delegation included the heads of the ministries and departments, the heads of the regions, the representatives of large companies and industrial enterprises.
