The abovementioned issue was raised at the meeting «New export logistic routes» that took place at the regional Administration.
If implemented, the project will become an important step towards forming the Southern Export-Import hub and will unite air, motor, and rail transport flows at one point. New route will allow cargos to be delivered to China for two weeks, as the press-service of the Administration of the Krasnodar Region reports.
- The advantage of geographic location, and proximity of the region to the dynamically developing regions of the South of Russia and other countries allow to create conditions for developing of the region as one of the key Russian transport-and-logistic hub, - said Yuri Volkov, the head of the Department of investment and SME development of the Krasnodar Region.
The foreign trade turnover between the Krasnodar Region and China rose at the year-end 2017 and amounted 128 % as compared to the previous year. The share of export in China increased by 7 % (primarily oil, wood and charcoal). The opening of the high-speed route will allow the structure of export to be diversified towards increasing of agricultural production.
The Krasnodar Region has considerable potential. There are more than 300 export-oriented companies in the region. That’s why we believe that the project is promising, - noted Andrey Ushakov, the representative of «Russian Export Center».
The meeting resulted in a decision to create a working group and road-map for project implementation.
