The delegation from Kuban is headed by Vice Governor Alexander Ruppel.
The business agenda included a joint meeting of the working group focused on collaboration between the Republic of Belarus and Krasnodar Region, co-chaired by Vice Governor Ruppel and Acting Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Karayev.
«In the first nine months of 2024, the trade turnover between Krasnodar Region and the Republic of Belarus increased by 4 percent, and we see opportunities for significant growth,» said Alexander Ruppel.
As the Vice Governor emphasized, one step toward this goal could be enhancing the recognition of Kuban wines both regionally and nationally.
«Last year, six Kuban producers supplied their products to Belarus, and the wines were well received in the market. We are ready to participate in major events in the Grodno Region to host tastings of our beverages. Moreover, we are interested in sourcing bottles produced in the Grodno Region for use by Kuban wineries,» added Alexander Ruppel.
Yuri Karayev highlighted that the Grodno Region is keen on purchasing rapeseed, canned fruits and vegetables, wine, cereals, flour, rice, and sunflower oil. They also discussed strategies to facilitate access to transportation to promote greater trade.
The meeting also addressed the outcomes and future prospects of collaboration in various sectors, including industry, health resorts, and sports. The Kuban delegation’s working visit to the Republic of Belarus will also include visits to industrial and resort facilities to share best practices.
