A Plant for Manufacturing Agricultural Machinery in Kuban Expands Its Production Facilities

In autumn of 2018, the CLAAS Concern will commission two modernized workshops.

The reconstruction project is being implemented within the first special investment contract (SIC) concluded by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. The CEO of the plant, Ralph Bendish, told about the new stage of localization of the production facility at the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the RF, Vasiliy Osmakov. The meeting was held at the INNOPROM exhibition in Yekaterinburg.

- The SIC is an effective tool, and the economic performances of CLAAS as of the end of 2017 confirms this fact, Vasiliy Osmakov said.

According to the Head of the CLAAS plant in Krasnodar, commissioning works on an additional 2,200 square meters of production space will begin in September. The metalworking shop will receive new machines, including punching machines, and a most advanced welding robot will also be installed. Additional equipment that will optimize the process of preparation for sending parts for export will be installed in the assembly shop.

- CLAAS continues to invest in the development of the production facilities of the Krasnodar plant. The work is carried out in accordance with the deadlines, - the Head of the Industrial Policy Department of the Krasnodar Region, Ivan Kulikov, said.

The special investment contract was signed between the Russian Federation represented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and CLAAS LLC in 2016. Under the SIC terms, CLAAS assumed liability to further localize production facilities, and the Russian Federation will implement measures to stimulate activities in the field of industry.
