Pokrovskiy Concern in Kuban Will Start Supplying Chickpeas to India and Pakistan

The management of the Pokrovskiy Concern announced its plans to export Kuban chickpeas, for the cultivation of which an area of ​​about 900 hectares was allocated in the region. According to the Director of the Concern Andrey Korovayko, India and Pakistan are considered to be main market outlets for the culture. It is to be recalled that Pokrovskiy began cultivating chickpeas for the first time this year. «We consider the chickpea production to be a promising direction. This culture is considered to be a kind of exotic in Russia, but there are countries where chickpea is an integral part of the food culture and there is a high demand for it», – Mr. Korovayko said.

The Pokrovskiy Concern includes more than 35 enterprises, mainly in the Southern Federal District, in five different industries. The priority direction is agrarian business. The Pokrovskiy Group of Agricultural Enterprises includes 25 farms in 13 districts of the Krasnodar Region.

It should be noted that the Pokrovskiy Concern is one of the ten leaders of the Russian Federation in terms of the volume of cultivated land and the main production indicators. The products of the Group of Companies are in demand in the Russian market and abroad.
